Jane Fidler
Jane Anne Ward Fidler was born the 4th child and only girl in Cleveland, Ohio, December 1, 1956. When she was 4 years old, she and her family moved to Florham Park, NJ. She grew up in the volunteering and later working for the local YMCA. Thinking that she wanted to pursue a career in YMCA work, she came to Downers Grove,IL to attend George Williams College (George Williamswas the founder of the YMCA). While attending college, she met the love of her life, Tom Fidler and married him in 1977 (at the age of 20! Yes they are still married.). At George Williams College, Jane swam (and dived 1 year) on the college team earning national honors and All American status. In 1978 Jane graduated with a BS degree in Physical Education and minor in Natural Science. After working two years at Buehler YMCA in Palatine as full-time Aquatic director, she decided that teaching was more her style and passion. So, for the next two years, she taught as a TA at Conant High School in Special Education with Behavior Disorder teenagers and coaching swimming and diving. When a position opened in Physical Education, she switched departments. In 1985, she and her husband were blessed with a baby girl, Ashley who changed her life and career path dramatically. Jane quit her teaching job, became a “stay at home mom” and began to go to school in the evenings pursuing Early Childhood Education. Through this all, she continued to coach swimming and diving for District #211. When Ashley turned 4 years old, Jane took a 2nd Grade teaching position at Seth Paine Schoolin Lake Zurich. This lasted one year due to entrepreneurial thoughts and God led prompts. In November or 1990, she opened up a part-day Christian preschool in Lake Zurich with 11 children called Educational Training Center (ETC PreSchool). By the end of the year, there were 25 students. Year two grew to 75 children and year three they had expanded to serve 140 children! In 1996, Jane opened up ETC-Wauconda, renovating a 65 year old barn (with her husband and daughter) into a home on the second floor and a daycare center on the first floor. To date, she has been blessed to own and operate the two centers with 18 staff members and a total of 170 children. Her hobbies include making stained glass, windsurfing and sailing, snowboarding, and keeping fit. During the summer she runs “soul” sailing adventures in the British Virgin Islands forwomen.

Joyce Rowland
After nearly 30 years of leadership in local mission work, weekly Bible studies and numerous search committees, Joyce decided to retire with her husband and enjoy being a member of an evangelical congregation. Who would have guessed it would lead to the launch of a new ministry involving so many churches and agencies – many of which she had already built relationships with in her previous work. It has long been a dream to serve together with friends in neighboring congregations. Joyce and her husband Paul have two grown sons Andy and Doug and a daughter Emily, a freshman, at Hope College.
Paul Rowland
After nearly 30 years in high technology medical sales, including serving as Vice President of Sales North America for Varian Medical Systems and the start up of Varian Surgical Sciences, Paul retired to enjoy time with his immediate family and aging father. He was quickly recruited by his wife, Joyce, into serving with the Village Church of Barrington on their local impact team. Together their ministry has uncovered a number of unmet needs and opportunities for service in southwest Lake County. The establishment of a local Love INC affiliate is a major milestone in meeting those needs and providing an opportunity for discipleship through service. Paul and his wife Joyce live in Deer Park and have two grown sons Andy and Doug and a daughter Emily, a freshman, at Hope College.
